Methodologies (visit)
Project management methodologies control the whole shape of a project. Methodologies lay out the general approach to planning, reporting and decision making for any particular project. When undertaking a project one of the first things you will have to do is decide on a methodology.
Traditional
Traditional methods are those which are based on ideas that have been around for a long time. Traditional methodologies include Prince 2, Cristal Methods and Waterfall.
Concepts (visit)
This part of the site goes through project management ideas which are very powerful but do not amount to complete project methodologies. Whilst these principles are more lightweight then full methodologies their very simplicity can make them very powerful tools in their own right.
In actual fact it is quite possible to create your own methodology using a handful of these ideas rather than following an 'off the peg' solution.
